This page contains the rules about the gameplay and player behaviour within our tournaments. We try to include rules for all situations but sometimes assistance might be needed. If this is the case, send a message to the Admin in the discord chat. Every gamer has to be aware of the behavior guidelines and online tournament rules.
These rules apply for both OPEN events and PAID TO ENTER events!

Prize pool for OPEN events are $25-$50 USD, and PAID events that have higher prize earnings of $500+ will have a small Entry Fee*.
To ENTER the Tournament, when you join the Prodigy Gaming Discord, type “?rank K4XP” to be put into the Tournament Specific Role needed to sign up in the “#Registration” channel. Once you are there, you MUST provide your IGN(in game name) that you will be using to participate in the event with your Region ID after it. Like so: *yourname*(NAE)
When you have completed that, DO NOT POST ANYTHING ELSE IN THE CHANNEL. We want to prevent SPAM that could make it difficult to process information correctly.
If you are just spectating the event on Twitch, we HIGHLY INSIST that you HOST the event on your channels, to help with the growth and support of the event. If you are streaming during the event you are participating in, we HIGHLY INSIST that the title of your streams’ include the name of the event, to help with the growth and support of the tournament. Thank you.
TOURNAMENT RULES
1. General
1.1 The ADMIN assumes that each participant who enter a tournament is aware of all the rules and checks them periodically . Insufficient knowledge of the rules can not be used as an excuse for breaking the rules.
1.2 A player can only create one account. Selling, renting, trading or receiving compensation in any way, shape or form is forbidden.
1.3 Every participant who breaks a rule, will be punished. The exact way of punishment will be decided by the Admin involved.
Examples of punishments are: leaving the tournament early, a temporary ban or a permanent ban.
1.4 Rosters will be placed on the server before the tournament will start. After the tournament started, no changes or substitutes to the roster are allowed.
1.5 Matches need to be played within the times the roster shows.
1.6 Gamers who participate are required to play with the Gamer ID (PSN/XBOX/PC Account) they have specified.
1.7 The Gamer ID which is being used has to equal to the Gamer ID shown on the roster. If another account is going to be used, submit this to an Admin BEFORE the tournament has started.
1.8 Every participant is required to be online in the chat of the tournament they are participating in.
1.9 Every player is responsible for his own connection and has to have a good internet connection to avoid possible ‘lag’.
1.10 Complaining about losing a game incorrectly after a match can not be taken into account in the final outcome of a match. If there are reasons to suspect that your opponent is not playing by the rules or serious lag occurs for a long time, report this to the admin before your opponent has taken benefit of the problem. ( The beginning of the game. )
2. Tournament Guidelines
Each player has to register with their IGN or Contact an Admin for Admission Fee (if tournament applies) first in order to participate in the online tournament.
3. Specific Fortnite Rules
The player with the most kills continues to the next round. It is forbidden to disadvantage your opponent (your opponent who you are linked with in the tournament bracket) on purpose.
Examples: Shoot his buildings down, knock him with an impulse grenade etc.
4. Score Tracking
4.1 Scores will be tracked as the games are played.
5. Behavior rules
5.1 All participants in the tournaments must treat each other and the organization respectfully.
5.2 When a participant has hurtful, offensive or racist expressions towards his/her opponent, he will immediately be disqualified and disciplinary measures will be taken.
5.3 Bad language and/or threats against the Players or Admin means an instant disqualification.
5.4 In cases of fraud and/or cheats, a participant will be disqualified immediately and disciplinary measures will be taken.
5.5 ALL participants are treated the same way by the Admin. When breaking the rules, the following disciplinary measures will be taken.
1st offense: The player will be disqualified immediately and will get an official warning
2nd offence: The player will be disqualified immediately and will be excluded from the tournament for the next 3 events.
3rd offence: The player will be disqualified immediately and will be excluded from all future tournaments
6. Amateur/Pro Players
6.1 If you have any questions and/or problems, you can contact an Admin at all times.
6.2 The Amateur/Pro participants need to treat ALL Players respectfully.
6.3 The Admin eventually has the right to make decisions when exceptional situations occur.
7. Experience points
This can be earned for ANY PLAYER that has attended the event, paid a fee for a Amateur or Pro tournament, or got a specific amount of NEW USERS to join the Prodigy Gaming Discord Server for THIS event.
8. Ratings
8.1 Rating points determine the level of a gamer. Winning a contest or tournament increases the rating, losing a game or tournament decreases the rating.
8.2 The rating of a participant determines with which tournament the participant can compete.
9. Badges/Roles
Each registered member of Players can earn Badges/Roles for his/her profile by performing specific actions.
10. Tournament Levels
There are three tournament levels: Open, Amateur, and Pro Level Brackets. These are determined by Win Rate % and K/D.
11. Leaderboards

12. Cash Games
If a match ends with an equal number of kills, a new game must be played until there is a winner.
Or there will be a final elimination round where the first player to get a Full Elimination, wins.
13. Other rules
Player reserves the right, to make statements and decisions about matters that are not specifically provided for in the rules, in order to maintain fair competition and sportsmanship.
Player reserves the right to change rules at all times. For example, this could be occur by changes in software updates or releases of a game.
